Nedward...

Ned always has a way of 'secretively' showing me that he needs more attention. I found this last week while painting the living room... Yep - no mistakin' that there was a neglected dog in the house who though that the paint tray was getting a little too much attention! :)

Curtains For Sale!

These curtains are HOT! I'm pretty sure they are the orginials from the 1930's - when our house was first built. They have driven me NUTS since the day we moved in and I'm finally ready to part with them. If anyone would like to purchase - please contact Waste Management.

The living room has been a project that I've been 'meaning to get to' since we moved in 4 years ago. I have never had time ... blah, blah, blah... BUT I have decided that the room will be finished before I head back to work (one of those 'to do list' items). The problem becomes... once I start a project - it is all or nothing. I have lived and breathed this project for the last week and a half! Mudding, painting, sewing (yes, you heard correctly!), bargain shopping, etc... I'm very excited for this project to be marked off my list and to be able to sit back and enjoy the frest new look of my living space. I will post some before and after pictures in the future - it's like HGTV! Which by the way I have become heavily addicted too... I have a ton of great ideas to redo all my rooms - yeah!

Her Name was Lola...

The name of my new background is 'Lola'. Weird; however, festive! Enjoy!

Bruise O-Meter...

I've developed a bruise meter for all of you out there who have fallen or bruised
yourself some-how-or-another. It is the 3 C's of Bruising...
Color: Is the bruise colorful?
Circumference: Is the bruise big?
Creativity: How did you get the bruise?
All categories are judged from 0-5
Color: I give it a 2...
Circumference: I would say a 3... it was fairly large.
Creativity: At least a 4... Last weekend when we were shearing one of them 'got away'. I say, "Don't worry, I got it!" The sheep was trapped in the corner of a fence - should have been a easy process; however, the fence gave way. I crashed through the fence and landed head first in sheep poo. The creative part of this story is... last weekend was warm = fresh, soft poo.
Total Score: 9
I also took a digger this week while running errands. I was in front of a hearing aid repair shop and I went down! I was kind of hoping no one saw but of course that wasn't the case. The receptionist in the hearing aid store, "Oh, honey - you got to be careful out there." My question remains... what age group do you suppose are more likely to go to a hearing aid repair store? Good thing this store is next to the Home Medics shop... they can pick up a nice walker or wheelchair upon falling at the Hearing Aid Store.

Weekend Beauty...

The T.V....

We went on the best shopping spree last weekend - we purchased a 46'' T.V. for the parents. Of course, it was on their bill; however, it is a great t.v. and we can't
wait to watch CABLE and movies some day! :)

A Steal!

I picked up this purse at Goodwill this week - LOVE IT! I cannot wait until this spring!
Only $.99 - awesome!

Sheep Shearing "Final Chapter"

We finished all the sheep last Sunday - yeah! It has been a much longer process
than usual and we're happy the project is done. Damon shearing...

Uncle Tom during an 'ishy' project... I just had to document the face - ha! :)

Our first baby lamb of the year - isn't he cute! :) Baaaah....

Damon's cousin Shay put his Ranger in the ditch and Damon pulled it out with the Rhino. A very proud moment for D and his toy... Again, a must document moment.

The Basement Project...

"I hate the basement." That is pretty much all I can say about our winter project! We are grinding down our basement walls in order to put in the beaver system. The beaver system is designed to go on the inside of your basement walls in order to stop water problems. We are trying to get it installed 1) before we go back to work 2) before our basement starts to leak water like crazy! Here are some pictures of the progress...

We rented a jack hammer - much easier than using the sledge hammer!
Damon allowed me the honor of getting rid of the 4'' cement shower surround -
I rather enjoyed it!

Gage Visits...

We were lucky to have Gage visit us last Tuesday. He was a huge helper! He helped Damon take out some bricks in the basement, as well as, hammer lotsa nails in a wood block. He is a very busy boy and great fun to have around for the day!
Thanks for coming to visit Gage - we love you buddy and
can't wait to spend more time together!
