I'm Back!

It is so hard to believe that a month has almost gone by and I have not posted a single thing! Damon and I have been pretty busy with the fall season... I also have been spending lots of hours working on photo shoots and therefore; have no engery or time to sit down and blog upon completion of my 'work'... Have I mentioned just how much I love taking pictures?? Seriously, one of my most favorite things to do - nothing captures someones character/personality or a moment like a picture can... :)
Here are some of the highlights...

It was Carly (2) and Ryanna's (1) birthday's on September 25th - so we had a party!
The cake/cupcakes... I was excited to make a girly cake; however, wasn't
sure what the heck I was doing - this is the result!
Carly & Daddy driving the 4-wheeler... Oh, the joy of a cake...
This is Kaylee - our Goddaughter...Ryanna

Charity got married last weekend - hard to believe that she is now Mrs. Morrow! I'm very excited for her and Ben! I was absolutely honored to be in her wedding, as well as, have the opportunity to sing... it was great fun!
Me and the Bride...
Me, Mego (my beautiful pregnant friend!:)) and Monica...
Mr. & Mrs. Morrow in front of their limo for the evening... :) We've been watching lots of football lately... Damon's cousin Shay plays for Grand Rapids & his littler cousins (Logan and Lane) play Pony League for Cohasset. I wasn't able to get any pictures of Shay because it rained the whole game; however, here are the younger boys... I said I would beat them with their helmets if they didn't smile - they did a great job of standing still for the camera! (Cute Story Moment: The Anderson Family (Logan and Lane) went on a 2 week trip out West this last summer... Lane says, "It's a good thing Manda isn't with us - we wouldn't make it past South Dakota - we'd have to stop and take pictures of everything!")
Hmmm... Okay, so that seems to be just about the 'jists' of what has been happening in the Tuttle House... Spending lots of time with friends and family & enjoying this fall weather! This month Damon and I hope to get out bow hunting, we'll be traveling to Wisconsin for Damon's sister wedding and hopefully spending Halloween with the Hanson's scaring Trick-or-Treaters in Becker ... All in a months work! :)

Manda Bloopers...

I seriously cannot stop chuckling to myself tonight... there are recently three events that have happened within the last few week - of course, all of which I have stupidly done myself - and I must share! :) The crazy part is - I don't have any pictures to help with any of my stories - so bare with me!

1) Tonja was blogging about her new flat iron... (thehansonhattrick.blogspot.com). She went on to say that there were some pretty stupid warnings like: don't use while sleeping, - you don't say! Well... I posted a comment about how I loved the ridiculous warnings they put on such things! I added that I hadn't ironed clothes in years - or even before than... Come to find out - a flat iron is something you use on your hair ... not your clothes. HA HA HA!

2) While adding more perennials to my small and growing garden - I ran into slugs. YUCK! My neighbor told me that if I put beer in the bed - the slugs would go away. Easy enough, I came inside, opened a cold one and poured it on my flowers (giving them a little extra for looking so pretty). Come to find out - you're suppose to pour the beer into a pan which lures the slugs in and they are suppose to drown. HA HA HA!

And the best for last...

3) Do you recall when Rocky was visiting us for those two weeks in July? Well, one of the long list of items he and Nedward ate was one of my slippers. Three years ago, for Christmas, I received two pairs of almost identical slippers. The only difference is that one pair has a little thicker lining in them and therefore are my FAVORITE! I thought that they had eaten one of my favorite pairs because I found it in several pieces all over the house... I figured what was the sense of holding onto the other when it didn't have a match? Logical and responsibly throwing away an item that didn't have a use anymore...

Well... since it has gotten cold I have been trying to find the matching slipper (remember these are the almost identical) and haven't had any luck. Tonight I'm sitting on the couch and Ned started digging in the cushion ... low and behold - it's the other half of my favorite slipper.

So, as it turns out... they ate one of the slippers of the pair that wasn't my FAVORITE and I threw my favorite slipper away! ARGH! Now, my feet are warm in two obviously different slippers (Damon tells me he can't see the difference - but there is) ... and I'm bummed that I was so quick to throw away my favorite pair! I figured there was no need to keep around just one and even remember thinking to myself - maybe I should just hold on to it BUT threw it away with last weeks trash ... Double ARGH!

Damon's Birthday...

Last Sunday was Damon's 29th Birthday... we went Rhino-ing all day and had a BBQ with family at the farm. It was a great way to waste away the day outside with family and friends! I think the only thing that could have possibly made it any better... if we would have found some mud! The Brusters': Doug, Blake and Madison...

The Family and our new goggles - we don't have a windshield and it can get quite dusty!

Logan, Lane, Madison and Blake...
Our BBQ in the woods... Just one more way that Nedward proves to not be a normal dog... Damon was driving a friend's 4-wheeler and Ned was very upset following from behind in the Rhino. So, we switched and Ned rode on the back of the wheeler... what a goof! I'm not sure who is driving in this pictures but you can see everyone is having a great time! :)

Some of the other highlights of the day...

The Dairy Queen Cake!Mark & Anthony Came to the Party! Yeah! The orange hunting vest Damon has wanted for years... "Bring a Handicap Hunting Day" is just around the corner and Damon is very excited to go... :)Damon took mama for a Rhino ride... screaming was to be heard by all the neighbors! She kept saying, "What if a deer jumps in here with us!"... The new love in the family... the welder. Rog and Deb (Damon's Parents)Grandpa teaching Anthony how to eat Corn on the Cobb... :)The fireworks! :)
