Damon Report

For those of you who knew about our interesting visits to the ER last week - Damon is doing well and is going back to work tomorrow morning. I'm hoping that all goes well for him and we won't have to go back for more testing. Thank You for everyone who showed their support by calling, visiting and praying for us during the scary times!

Here is the scoop for those who might be out of the loop on the whole thing:

Last Monday Damon was brought to the ER from work because he had a 'explosion' (for lack of a better term) between his eyes and was feeling pressure on the brain, as well as, seeing double and feeling as though he was going to pass out. We went to Grand Itasca - they did a CT Scan, gave him a shot for a migrain, dialated his eyes and sent us over to Bonner Eye Clinic to make sure there were no broken blood vessels or _____ (whatever else could be wrong with the eyes). Both of these places found nothing wrong with Damon and gave him the OK to go back to work.

Tuesday morning Damon calls me at 5:40am to come and pick him up from work because he is seeing double again and is feeling as though he is going to pass out. We head to Duluth - had a MRI, MRA, Ecko Gram, EKG, Blood Testing and anything else they could think of and everything came back normal. What they did find is a major sinus infection in his frontal lobe - crazy, since there have been absolutely no sinus infection signs (running nose, conjestion, etc...)

Damon is on some major antibiotics and is feeling great. He says that Friday was the first time in months that he has woke up without a headache - which makes me wonder just how long he has been dealing with the infection up until last week??

I guess we are not out of the woods yet because Damon hasn't gone through a day of work yet; however, I'm confident with all the tests they did in Duluth and the fact that Damon has been carrying on like his normal self for the last two days - yea!

I can't tell you how scary it is to think of all the horrible things that could be causing pressure on the brain but how relieved I am to know that the antibiotics are making him feel 110% better at this time!

The Perennial Bed

Now that I work at Bloomers I have some 'expectations' for myself in my yard. I would kind of like to spice it up a little... so here is our attempt at that. At this time we are not finished but it is a work in progress!

Busy Summer Days

So, I haven't blogged in a while - not as though I have too many people who 'follow' my world but here is what we've been up too...

A lab is a lab is a lab... and they love water! This is what Ned has been enjoying on the few hot days of summer that we've had...

Here is Damon mowing the lawn... we are pretty interesting aren't we! Our neighbors would probably laugh that I have a picture of us mowing because it is very few and far between!
Anthony was up to visit a few weekends ago... is this not the cutest little butt? I love it!

Damon couldn't resist taking a picture of Anthony standing in the corner... Yes, my favorite nephew does have his moments like every little boy. :)While Ton and Anthony were up we were able to enjoy a picnic with Uncle Erik... what's a picnic without family, watermelon (mind you - Anthony already had the watermelon in his mouth and decided it wasn't for him - so he shared it with Erik), and a playgound!

And for those of you who care... my flowers are still alive - barely.

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

I'm absolutely loving my job at Bloomers and am trying my hand at something new... we're counting the days to see how many (in a row) I can keep them alive! This is the summer for live plants for the Tuttles! The Hanging Baskets.... the Orange one is my favorite - Black Eye Susan Hanging Vine...Doesn't this one look great next to the Christmas Lights on the garage? :)

Memorial Weekend

It has certianly been a while since I've posted anything new - oops! So, we'll go back to Memorial Weekend. I had to work Friday, Saturday & Sunday; however, I had Monday off and Damon and I still were able to go up camping at the Lake Lot. Damon spent Sunday fishing all day with his dad and cousin - they fished for 10+ hours and didn't not even have a BITE! So, fishing wasn't good but time spend with family was great fun! :)

This is Carly & Aleigha coming to visit us in the camper...
Carly & Erik dancing it up by the party - we really party hard when we camp! AND Ms. Carly - isn't she just the cutiest little thing! Always, Always has a smile and a giggle for you! :)
Of course we did have a few storms come through that weekend - it was great fun to get some pictures of the sky as well! :)
