TUGGY!

Tuggy the Sandbox was also a HUGE hit this weekend... I'm not sure who was more excited to play in the dirt - Anthony or Damon? :) Thank You! Altringers for the awesome addition to the Hanson backyard - Anthony LOVES it! :) In the first few pictures - we had not even got sand in Tuggy or even moved it to the backyard and Anthony was already enjoying his new toy! :) He is certainly a serious sailor in this first picture! :)You can see he is still in his church clothes... but enjoying life! :)
Here's Uncle Damon showing Anthony the proper way to get dirty... First, you must apply water to your clothes - THEN you get in the sand box. It's a great recipe for a happy boy! :)
Yes, Anthony has not quite got the idea that sand doesn't taste the best... so, we did capture a few shots of him trying out his new shovel with a touch of dirt. You'll see in later pictures that he really doesn't like the texture that dirt leaves in his mouth! :)
Daddy to the Rescue! Mark helps Anthony with that icky taste by getting some water in the mouth... that works for about two seconds and we were right back to square one - having fun but eating dirt! :)

Anthony & Tonja's Baptism

Damon and I were able to be a part of Tonja and Anthony's Baptism this weekend. We are actually the very proud Godparents of Anthony's and couldn't be more excited! Here are some pictures of the fun day! This is Anthony acutally being baptised (did I spell that right? It looks funny?) Amazingly enough - Anthony didn't even move during the whole water part... you may want to read the blog regarding him, Zoey and the garden hose... :)
The Mother/Son Baptising Duo...

The Hanson Family...

Of course I had to add a few comments on this photo but it was just TOO good to throw away... I laughed so hard I cried. Hope everyone else enjoys it just as much! :) I'm pretty sure Tonja and Anthony are the only ones doing anything normal in this picture - I love it!
Thanks Ton and Mark for choosing Damon and I to be a special part of Anthony's life! We love Anfony very much are so excited to watch him grow and be part of our family! :)

The Garden Hose

The pictures explain it all... the first time playing with the hose! :) Zoey is in LOVE - she now has someone who will stand for HOURS, get wet AND share a drink or two! I think Anthony is a water bug! :)

Fishin' with the Boys

Damon, Brad and I went out fishing this morning... we had a good time and I wanted to share some pictures. (Especially since I caught some bigger bass - even though that's not what we were looking for) :) We never did get into the Walley's...
I also wanted to share some of the pictures of the scenery... it was a beautiful morning! :)
This is B-Rad... our captain. :)

And Damon... perma grin (knows better since he married a photographer!:))
And my favorite picture... the best Dock in Itasca County! It's a boat AND a dock! :)

The Kongsjords

Can't resist posting some pictures of the Kongsjord Boys... Thor & Tate. (For those of you who grew up in Deer River, it seems weird to refer to the "Kongsjord Boys" and not have it mean Lloyd & Steve- doesn't it?) It was nice being able to visit with the Kongsjord family on Thursday evening. We figured that since we were in Talmoon - we had to stop by!
Their newest addition; Ruby.
Ruby having a stare down with the kitty. I'm pretty sure that the kitty wins every time. All it takes is one kitty paw to the nose and most puppies figure it out... but not long enough to stay way for any amount of time! :)
It was great seeing you Kongsjords - we'll see/talk with you in another 6 months! :)

Opening of Fishing

Damon and I were able to go up to our families lake lot last Thursday & Friday. We were not able to do any fishing; however, we brought the boat up and cruised around the lake. This is the first time I have EVER seen ice on the lake for opening of fishing and wanted to share! We also had snow on Saturday evening (enough that I had to scrape it off my car!)... it has definitely been a year of first with the weather... or at least a year of firsts that I can actually remember. :) Here are some pictures of Jessie Lake...

When we pulled the boat up to the ice and shut off the motor you could hear our waves cracking the ice... it was real neat - almost sounded like heavy rain... This next picture is just ice built up on the shoreline. Crazy to think that it is the middle of May and we still have ice/snow...

Nedward enjoying the boat ride... I'm pretty sure that he should have been a fishing dog not a goose/duck dog. If he could actually find the fish, he'd be perfect! He gets extremely excited when you cast and reel. There have been times that we've had to bring in the lines because someone will cast and Ned jumps out of the boat chasing the jig.
Some other fun pictures of the boating experience... Not my best work but fun none-the-less!

Dog at Large: Two Chihuahuas were found.... (the rest is completely irrelevant)

I just thought that was too funny to pass up...

ER Visit...

Most have already heard the story about Damon and I visiting the ER today; however, for those of you have not heard here it is... Damon was playing with fire, then gas, then the Emergency Room. I guess that is pretty self-explanatory. He really is fine; however, he was complaining about his vision being blurry so we went in. The doctor did say that he will have to take some eye drops and his vision should be fine by tomorrow. As for the 'burn' he said it is comparable to a bad sun burn. The Doc prescribed him some Vicodin to ease the pain... talk about a loopy husband! I can't resist posting some pictures... If you look closely - you'll notice that we not longer have to worry about Damon having a Uni-Brow... I guess this is one way to take care of the old man eyebrows...When we got to the Emergency Room they made Damon take off his shirt because he stunk of gas... we are the proud owners of a $1,000 Emergency Room T-shirt! As you can see, the Vicodin has kicked in from the first picture to the second...

They even sent us home with new luggage... I'm so excited that we'll have to something to put Damon's new t-shirt in! :)
And here's another picture of Damon on Vicodin... Oops, never mind - this is just his goofy shirt. (I just couldn't resist!) :)

Happy 3 Years Tuttles!

Damon and I just celebrated our 3rd Anniversary on the 23rd of April... This year we bought tennis rackets so we could do something together. We are horrible at the game but we had and will have plenty of laughs in the future! :) Damon also suprised me with some beautiful flowers at work... I had to take pictures and wanted to share them with everyone! I have never seen such beautiful roses... they opened really big and had so much detail! I'm not very fond of the color pink but these are definitely an exception!

Little Birdie...

This little guy flew into the window while Damon was in the garage. He brought it into the house and said "Should we see if it can fly?"... Yeah, but probably outside rather than inside! :) Damon opened his hand and the little guy flew away... too cute!
