The World of Manda....

I am certainly in a world of my own and cannot help but post some fun stories that recently have happened...

1) Yesterday I went to the Dentist. I wasn't exactly sure what they were going to do because I have 4 appointments I have to get in before the end of the year. I want to use up all my insurance before the year runs out - this poor insurance company will regret thinking it's even a remotely good idea to put me on their coverage! :) So, anyways, I went in yesterday and had Root Canal #7 (I'm going for a world record... I've two Root Canal's on one tooth - so I'm pretty sure that I've got a chance!) Yes, well... not only was I in for the treat of a Root Canal, I also had cramps AND gas. Not the type of gas that they use on you to relax (believe me relaxing was NOT in the game plan for me for the L-O-N-G 1 and 1/2 hours I was sitting in the chair!) but the type of gas that would clear out the room - including myself. Incase anyone cares - my tooth hurts very minimal, my cramps are gone - as well as - my upset tummy. :)

2) Now this is the best... I cannot stop laughing at just how ridiculous this story is. Every morning, and I mean EVERY morning I listen to 99.9 Radio USA at work between 8:30-9am because that seems to be when they have all they chances to win tickets, gifts certificates and most importantly Subway. Every day they have a Subway Song of the Day... You hear the song being played and have to be caller ____ (whatever the DJ decides to pick for that day - Mind you, it is different every day!)

So, today I called and called and called. I was caller number 4 and wasn't going to give up because I figured I was only 2 callers away from being the winner. (I have Radio USA programed into my phone so that I don't have to actually 'redial' persay... I told you I'm pretty serious about winning a Sub!) Anyways, so I redial and it is RINGING... "You're caller #6"... And I go NUTS! I mean full fledge screaming and yelling at my co-workers that we finally won... I have co-workers giving my high-fives and the whole shabang! The DJ says, "Why are you so excited about being number 6?"..... I say, "Didn't I win?"... DJ says, "No, we're looking for caller number 7!".... HA HA HA!!! :)

Here's the kicker... DJ's record their conversations and he plays the interaction with me on the RADIO! I'm carrying on, as well as my co-workers and he has played it for all the listening audience! HE HE HE! DJ picks up the phone "Radio USA you're caller #7" and the guys says "Great." DJ says, "Well you certainly are not as excited as that lady was to be caller number 6!"

Ah, Yes all in a days work.

The ONLY Time I Didn't Bring The Camera...

So, it is not as though I really need to post pictures regarding the next topic; however, it would have been funny to give everyone the full effect! On Friday night we attended the Grand Rapids Homecoming Football game - of course many fans show up for the game. Right before half time, in the middle of a play, there was a blur of something out of the corner of my eye. There he was running, completely nude across the football field wearing nothing but a smile. Shakin' his junk at the 50 yard line - this boy did get tackled (our favorite of the game!) at the end of the field. I know for some - this is probably not all that funny but I still get tears in my eyes from laughing about the incident. Hilarious! The kids only has 2,000 counts of indecent exposure....

I'm Back!

It is so hard to believe that a month has almost gone by and I have not posted a single thing! Damon and I have been pretty busy with the fall season... I also have been spending lots of hours working on photo shoots and therefore; have no engery or time to sit down and blog upon completion of my 'work'... Have I mentioned just how much I love taking pictures?? Seriously, one of my most favorite things to do - nothing captures someones character/personality or a moment like a picture can... :)
Here are some of the highlights...

It was Carly (2) and Ryanna's (1) birthday's on September 25th - so we had a party!
The cake/cupcakes... I was excited to make a girly cake; however, wasn't
sure what the heck I was doing - this is the result!
Carly & Daddy driving the 4-wheeler... Oh, the joy of a cake...
This is Kaylee - our Goddaughter...Ryanna

Charity got married last weekend - hard to believe that she is now Mrs. Morrow! I'm very excited for her and Ben! I was absolutely honored to be in her wedding, as well as, have the opportunity to sing... it was great fun!
Me and the Bride...
Me, Mego (my beautiful pregnant friend!:)) and Monica...
Mr. & Mrs. Morrow in front of their limo for the evening... :) We've been watching lots of football lately... Damon's cousin Shay plays for Grand Rapids & his littler cousins (Logan and Lane) play Pony League for Cohasset. I wasn't able to get any pictures of Shay because it rained the whole game; however, here are the younger boys... I said I would beat them with their helmets if they didn't smile - they did a great job of standing still for the camera! (Cute Story Moment: The Anderson Family (Logan and Lane) went on a 2 week trip out West this last summer... Lane says, "It's a good thing Manda isn't with us - we wouldn't make it past South Dakota - we'd have to stop and take pictures of everything!")
Hmmm... Okay, so that seems to be just about the 'jists' of what has been happening in the Tuttle House... Spending lots of time with friends and family & enjoying this fall weather! This month Damon and I hope to get out bow hunting, we'll be traveling to Wisconsin for Damon's sister wedding and hopefully spending Halloween with the Hanson's scaring Trick-or-Treaters in Becker ... All in a months work! :)

Manda Bloopers...

I seriously cannot stop chuckling to myself tonight... there are recently three events that have happened within the last few week - of course, all of which I have stupidly done myself - and I must share! :) The crazy part is - I don't have any pictures to help with any of my stories - so bare with me!

1) Tonja was blogging about her new flat iron... (thehansonhattrick.blogspot.com). She went on to say that there were some pretty stupid warnings like: don't use while sleeping, - you don't say! Well... I posted a comment about how I loved the ridiculous warnings they put on such things! I added that I hadn't ironed clothes in years - or even before than... Come to find out - a flat iron is something you use on your hair ... not your clothes. HA HA HA!

2) While adding more perennials to my small and growing garden - I ran into slugs. YUCK! My neighbor told me that if I put beer in the bed - the slugs would go away. Easy enough, I came inside, opened a cold one and poured it on my flowers (giving them a little extra for looking so pretty). Come to find out - you're suppose to pour the beer into a pan which lures the slugs in and they are suppose to drown. HA HA HA!

And the best for last...

3) Do you recall when Rocky was visiting us for those two weeks in July? Well, one of the long list of items he and Nedward ate was one of my slippers. Three years ago, for Christmas, I received two pairs of almost identical slippers. The only difference is that one pair has a little thicker lining in them and therefore are my FAVORITE! I thought that they had eaten one of my favorite pairs because I found it in several pieces all over the house... I figured what was the sense of holding onto the other when it didn't have a match? Logical and responsibly throwing away an item that didn't have a use anymore...

Well... since it has gotten cold I have been trying to find the matching slipper (remember these are the almost identical) and haven't had any luck. Tonight I'm sitting on the couch and Ned started digging in the cushion ... low and behold - it's the other half of my favorite slipper.

So, as it turns out... they ate one of the slippers of the pair that wasn't my FAVORITE and I threw my favorite slipper away! ARGH! Now, my feet are warm in two obviously different slippers (Damon tells me he can't see the difference - but there is) ... and I'm bummed that I was so quick to throw away my favorite pair! I figured there was no need to keep around just one and even remember thinking to myself - maybe I should just hold on to it BUT threw it away with last weeks trash ... Double ARGH!

Damon's Birthday...

Last Sunday was Damon's 29th Birthday... we went Rhino-ing all day and had a BBQ with family at the farm. It was a great way to waste away the day outside with family and friends! I think the only thing that could have possibly made it any better... if we would have found some mud! The Brusters': Doug, Blake and Madison...

The Family and our new goggles - we don't have a windshield and it can get quite dusty!

Logan, Lane, Madison and Blake...
Our BBQ in the woods... Just one more way that Nedward proves to not be a normal dog... Damon was driving a friend's 4-wheeler and Ned was very upset following from behind in the Rhino. So, we switched and Ned rode on the back of the wheeler... what a goof! I'm not sure who is driving in this pictures but you can see everyone is having a great time! :)

Some of the other highlights of the day...

The Dairy Queen Cake!Mark & Anthony Came to the Party! Yeah! The orange hunting vest Damon has wanted for years... "Bring a Handicap Hunting Day" is just around the corner and Damon is very excited to go... :)Damon took mama for a Rhino ride... screaming was to be heard by all the neighbors! She kept saying, "What if a deer jumps in here with us!"... The new love in the family... the welder. Rog and Deb (Damon's Parents)Grandpa teaching Anthony how to eat Corn on the Cobb... :)The fireworks! :)

Feierabend Sneak Peek...

Just couldn't resist posting a few of the Feierabend Family pictures ...
